‘Nobody’s going to kiss you’

Nobody’s going to kiss you if your hair smells like sick.
Nobody’s going to hug you if your jumper’s lumpy.
Nobody’s going to really understand
If you’ve got sticky, smelly on your hand.

Nobody’s going to kiss you if your hair smells like sick.
People in the street will stop and stare.
Banana and strawberry, fromage frais, black cherry.
So you’d better not rub that yoghurt in your hair.

Background

This is a little ditty that I wrote for my daughter Chloe. She would have been just two and a half. It was a bath-time song that amused us both and unsurprisingly was never played outside our own home.
